Wanda S. (Robinson) Galey, 74, passed away January 8, 2022 in Port St. Lucie, Florida after an extended illness that was not related to Covid. She was born August 16, 1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio to the late Charles and Virginia Sargent Robinson.
Wanda graduated from Cadiz High School in 1965. She attended Franciscan University of Steubenville from 1984 to 1988 receiving her B.S. Degree. She received her M.S. Degree in 1994. She started her teaching career at Pleasant Grove Christian School where she taught for two years. In 1990 she started at Steubenville Catholic Central and there through December of 2005. In January 2006, she started at Southport Middle School in Port St. Lucie, where she retired in 2019. During her time there, she was twice named “Teacher of the year”. Along with her passion for teaching, she was an avid reader. She was interested in writing and had been working on a novel.
She is survived by her two sons: Bret (Kelly) Galey of Medina and Chad Galey of Cadiz along with their father and her former husband, Terry Galey of Cadiz; 2 brothers: Gary (Kathy) Robinson of Cadiz and Ronald Robinson of St. Clairsville; five grandchildren: Andria, Austin and Autumn Galey of Medina and Owen and Olivia Ferris of Medina; niece, Jeannine Robinson of Adena and nephew, Scott Robinson; and her longtime companion, Tom Davis of Port St. Lucie, Florida.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:30 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland-Barr Funeral Home, Cadiz, with Rev. Ed Kovacik officiating.
