Wilford Harris

Wilford E. Harris, 97, Cadiz, died Monday, May 19, at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born May 6, 1906 in Belmont, Ohio a son of the late John Wesley and Merinda Bonifant Harris. He was a retired employee of the Harrison County Highway Department, a farmer, a former member of the Harrison County Farm Bureau and was protestant by faith. He was preceded in death in addition to his parents, by his wife, Amanda Adeline LaPorte Harris in 1975; a son Wilford LeRoy Harris; 2 daughters: Esther Lechendro and Jean Taggart; 4 brothers: Webster, Forrest, Ross, and Wilbur; and a sister, Ethel Haines. He is survived by a son, Charles Harris and his wife Tammy of Cadiz; 2 daughters: Phyllis Parrish and Pam Tenley and her husband Paul all of Cadiz; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Calling hours are Wednesday, May 21, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where services will be held Thursday, May 22, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Hamilton officiating.
