William Paul Holmes, 76, Jewett, formerly of Cadiz, died Friday December 28 at his home. He was born September 17, 1925 in Fairplay, Ohio a son of the late Eugene Paul and Mary Truex Holmes. He was a retired custodian for the Jefferson County JVS and a member of Cadiz F.O.E. #2162. He is survived by his wife Johan Fittro Holmes; 3 Sons: Ronald Lee Fittro of Virginia and William McIntyre and Michael McIntyre both of Uhrichsville; 3 daughters: Norma Cook of Cadiz, Barbara Palmer of Jewett, and Christie Charlton of New Rumley; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Calling hours are Sunday, December 30 6-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz where services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert Hooker officiating. Burial follows at Longview Cemetery, New Athens, Ohio.
